Jean Luc Mourier Makes Winning Look Easy in the Ville de Gassin Speed Challenge CSIO 5*

St. Tropez, France – September 18, 2026 – Jean Luc Mourier (FRA) and Forever Joy de Tus claimed victory in the €29,100 Ville de Gassin CSIO5* at Jumping Gassin International, delivering a faultless performance in a tightly contested class. Riding the 11-year-old chestnut Selle Français stallion, Mourier crossed the timers in 58.84 seconds to secure the top spot for France.

Bred from the proven genes of Kannan and Papillon Rouge, Forever Joy de Tus showed both the scope and precision required at five-star level. The partnership produced a clear round and held its advantage at the wire, with no poles down and a time that proved just enough to take the win in Gassin.

There was no shortage of French strength at the top of the leaderboard, with Simon Delestre (FRA) and Oh Sissi finishing second after another clear effort. Delestre crossed the finish line in 59.85 seconds, just 1.01 seconds behind Mourier.

Laura Kraut provided the international challenge in third for the United States aboard Carquilara PS. Kraut also completed the course without fault, stopping the clock at 60.09 seconds to finish only 1.25 seconds off the winning time. With three combinations separated by little more than a second, the €29,100 Ville de Gassin CSIO5* ultimately came down to speed and precision—and it was Mourier and Forever Joy de Tus who mastered both to take the honours at Haras de Gassin.
