St. Tropez, France – September 17, 2026 – Simon Delestre (FRA) and Golden Boy DK claimed victory in the €56,800 Groupe Nice Matin – Var Matin Prize CSIO 5*, delivering a faultless performance at the Longines League of Nations™ – St. Tropez CSIO 5* at the Polo St. Tropez – Haras de Gassin. The French partnership stopped the timers in 65.22 seconds, securing the top spot in a highly competitive class.

Riding the 10-year-old chestnut Selle-Français gelding Golden Boy DK (Diamant de Semilly x Cash), Delestre delivered the fastest of the three clear rounds at the top of the leaderboard. The result adds another notable success to the résumé of one of France’s most accomplished international showjumpers, who has enjoyed a long career at the highest level.

The home crowd also witnessed a strong French one-two, with Kevin Staut (FRA) and Vida Loca Z finishing just 0.70 seconds behind the winners. Staut completed his clear round in 65.92 seconds, while Switzerland’s Martin Fuchs (SUI) secured third place with Fortjump de Beaumenil after another penalty-free performance in 66.43 seconds.

With all three leading combinations jumping clear, the result ultimately came down to speed, and Delestre and Golden Boy DK found the decisive fractions of a second. At the prestigious Haras de Gassin venue, the French rider’s precise and efficient round gave him the edge over Staut and Fuchs, putting his name at the top of the €56,800 prize list.
