St. Tropez, France – September 17, 2026 – Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Vasco 118 delivered a perfectly judged performance to win the €29,000 Hôtel Ventura Saint-Tropez CSI 3* at the Jumping Gassin International – Longines League of Nations – St. Tropez-Gassin CSIO 5* & CSI 3*. Competing at the Polo Club de Saint Tropez – Haras de Gassin, the Italian rider and his 2014 dark brown Mecklenburger stallion produced the fastest clear round of the decisive competition, stopping the clock at 62.27 seconds.
The victory came after a remarkably close battle at the top of the standings, with just seven hundredths of a second separating Gaudiano from France’s Max Thirouin (FRA). Riding Utopie Villegongue, Thirouin also kept all the poles in their cups and crossed the finish line in 62.34 seconds to take runner-up honours. The narrow margin underlined the quality and precision required to prevail in a class where speed proved decisive.
Gaudiano’s winning partner, Vasco 118, is a 2014-born Mecklenburger stallion by Vivant vd Heffinck out of a Chacco-Blue lineage. The combination showed both control and pace around the Gassin arena, finding the right balance between attacking the course and maintaining the accuracy needed for a fault-free performance. Their 62.27-second round ultimately proved untouchable.
Nicolas Layec (FRA) completed the podium for the home nation, guiding Georgio Louvo Z to another clear round in 62.87 seconds. The French pair finished just 0.60 seconds behind the winners, while the compact margins at the top highlighted an intensely competitive €29,000 class. In the end, it was Gaudiano and Vasco 118 who claimed the honours, adding another international victory to their record at the prestigious St. Tropez-Gassin show.
