Compiègne, France – April 08, 2026 – For her first participation in the Compiègne Classic CSI 3*, British rider Millie Allen won the €28,200 CWD Prize CSI 3*, the first major event of the CSI 3*, in front of a top international field. The French François-Xavier Boudant (FRA) and Simon Delestre (FRA) completed a prestigious Top 5.
The Grand Parc equestrian stadium in Compiègne opened its doors this Wednesday April 8 for the first day of competition of the Compiègne Classic, an unmissable event on the international equestrian calendar. And it was a Briton who immediately stole the show.
Millie Allen (GBR) didn’t do things by halves for her big debut in Compiègne. Associated with the formidable Quick Diamant HR, the thirty-year-old rider won the €28,200 CWD Prize CSI 3*, a Speed event at 1.45m, by setting the best time of the evening: 61”64 seconds. A result all the more remarkable as the competition was fierce: no less than 92 combinations took the start, and 38 completed the course led by course leader Yann Royant (FRA) without the slightest fault.
Individual European Pony Champion in 2012 and quadruple team gold medalist at the Youth Europeans, Millie Allen confirms with this victory the constant progression of a pair at the top of their form. Her mount, Quick Diamant HR, daughter of Diamant de Semilly and granddaughter of Quidam de Revel, already had seven victories counting towards the Longines world ranking before this evening, including four during the Doha Tour at the start of the year.
The Belgian Koen Vereecke (BEL) and his mare Oilily de Muze (61”9) took second place, followed by the Brazilian Marlon Módolo Zanotelli and Charly Heart (62”62), recent winners of a 5* Grand Prix in Doha.
On the French side, the evening was also a good omen. François-Xavier Boudant (4th, Brazyl du Mezel) and Simon Delestre (5th, Gatsby du Tillard) chose Compiègne to relaunch two horses with great potential outdoors, after their remarkable passage under the glass roof of the Grand Palais during the Saut Hermès two and a half weeks ago.
“This competition takes place in a magnificent setting and the track suits Brazyl perfectly. We come back outside and it’s good to get some fresh air – especially since the weather forecast is fantastic”, confided François-Xavier Boudant, who is already announcing the entry of his crack Gloria des Besnards in tomorrow’s 1.50m event.
Titouan Schumacher (7th, Corsini van de Keihill) and Margaux Rocuet (10th, Best Of Iscla) complete a predominantly French Top 10.
The Compiègne Classic runs until Saturday, April 11, at the Grand Parc Equestrian Stadium, offering an international level sporting program (CSI 3**, CSI 1, CSIYH, CSI AM) in one of the most remarkable natural settings of French equestrian sport.
All CSI 3* events are broadcast live on GrandPrix.tv and available on demand.
