Shanghai, China – May 01, 2026 – Max Kühner (AUT) and EIC Up Too Jacco Blue were back to their winning ways on Thursday at the 2026 Longines Global Champions Tour of Shanghai CSI 5*, claiming top honors in the €105,500 GCL First Competition CSI 5*. The 1.60m speed challenge was contested by 34 combinations but only twelve of them left all the poles up. In the end, it was Kuhner and the 15-year-old bay Irish Sport gelding (Chacco-Blue x Douglas) who were supreme due to their completion of the course in 64.33 seconds.

Second place was claimed by Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and Katanga VH Dingeshof after posting a foot-perfect performance in 66.72 seconds.

Peder Fredricson (SWE) and Alcapone des Carmille were just six-hundredths of a second slower than the latter two, registering the third-fastest clean performance of the contest, thus rounding out the top three in 66.78 seconds.

2) Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) & Katanga VH Dingeshof – 0 – 66.72
