Marlon Zanotelli Makes it to the Top in the €308,600 Grand Prix of St. Tropez CSIO 5*

St. Tropez, France – September 18, 2026 – Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) and Charly Heart delivered a brilliant performance at Haras de Gassin, powering to victory in the €308,600 Grand Prix CSIO 5*, presented by Polo Club St. Tropez. The Brazilian combination produced the fastest double-clear round of the competition, stopping the clock in 43.30 seconds in the jump-off to take the prestigious 1.60m prize.

Forty-three combinations lined up for the first round, but the demanding track reduced the field to just 11 contenders for the jump-off. Zanotelli, among the final riders to return, rose to the occasion with Charly Heart, finding the decisive pace and tight turns needed to overhaul the leading time and secure the win.

Mark McAuley (IRL) and Rossi vd Heffinck looked set for victory after also jumping clear in the opening round and jump-off, but their time of 44.85 seconds left them 1.55 seconds behind the Brazilian winners. The Irish rider nevertheless produced a superb performance to claim runner-up honours with the nine-year-old BWP stallion.

Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) completed the podium with King Edward. The Swedish star and the 16-year-old gelding kept all the poles standing, but two time faults in the opening round left them carrying two penalties into the jump-off, where they finished on 50.85 seconds. It was nevertheless a notable return to the sharp end of a major Grand Prix for the pair, while Zanotelli and the 10-year-old Charly Heart emerged as the class of the field in St. Tropez-Gassin.
