Julien Épaillard Supreme in the Soers Prize CSI 5* at Aachen

Aachen, Germany – May 22, 2026 – The 2026 TSCHIO Aachen 5* got underway on Thursday and it was the French flag who was raised the highest in the opening class, €25,000 Soers Prize CSI 5*. French showjumper, Julien Épaillard (FRA) won with his chestnut gelding, Easy Up de Grandry.

The two-phase 1.45m class was contested by 82 combinations but it was the Flying Frenchman and the 2014 chestnut Selle Français gelding (Jarnac x For Pleasure) who came out on top, completing the second section of the course in 31.12 seconds.

Just over three-tenths separated the top two combinations. In the end, Coyle and Gisborned VDL who finished in second place due to their final time of 31.43 seconds.

The podium was completed by Daniel Bluman (ISR) and Malina, only one-tenth of a second behind the latter two.
