Hamburg, Germany – May 17, 2026 – An emotional victory for Frederic Tillmann (GER) brough equestrians fans to their feet at Klein Flottbek, teaming up with DSP Comanche VL for top honors in the €120,000 Al Shira’aa German Jumping Derby CSI 4*, presented by Melitta. Moreover, May 17 became a special date for the Tillmann family since Frederic’s brother Gilbert had already won it on May 17, 2013.

It was a sweet and very emotional triumph since it was the fifth time that Frederic competed in the Hamburg Derby after coming very close several times before. He had finished second two times, fourth once. Finally, victory was his with the 12-year-old bay German Sport Horse gelding (Cellestial x Loredo). The duo were the only ones to deliver a double clear, thus earning the coveted title.

The only other combination that had qualified for the jump-off were Simon Heineke (GER) and Cordillo 3 but 11 penalty-points meant that they had to settle for reserve honors.

Andre Thieme (GER) and Paule S were the fastest amongst the 5 pairs that registered four penalty-points in the first round, earning the third spot on the podium due to their time of 160.70 seconds.
