San Miguel de Allende, Mexico – October 22, 2026 – Carlos Rodolfo Molina Gordillo (MEX) and Kansas Santa Rosa claimed top honors in Thursday’s $90,900 Playdoit Prize CSI 5* – 1.50m at the GNP Seguros Otomí Grand Prix, delivering a spectacular performance against the clock in a thrilling jump-off.
Brazilian course designer Guilherme Jorge (BRA) set the challenge for the class, with 12 combinations qualifying for the jump-off, although only nine ultimately returned to contest the victory.

Ireland’s Conor Swail (IRL) was the first to set a serious benchmark, guiding Casturano to a faultless round in 38.58 seconds. Colombia’s John Perez Bohm (COL) then produced an even faster time of 38.17 seconds aboard Lareusa S, but an unfortunate rail at the final fence cost him the lead.

Molina Gordillo (MEX) seized the opportunity, producing a brilliant clear round with Kansas Santa Rosa in 37.99 seconds to move into first place.

Fellow Mexican Juan Pablo Gaspar (MEX) made a strong attempt to challenge the leading time aboard Pina Lotta T, crossing the finish line clear in 38.49 seconds to secure second place.
Swail and Casturano completed the podium in third, just nine hundredths of a second behind Gaspar. Latvia’s Kristaps Neretnieks (LAT) and Valour finished fourth in 39.23 seconds, followed by Mexico’s Nicolas Pizarro (MEX) and Chou Fleur RA in fifth with 39.77 seconds.
With less than six-tenths of a second separating the top three, Molina Gordillo’s victory provided an exciting preview of Saturday’s CSI5* Grand Prix, keeping the winner’s honors firmly on home soil.
