How to Watch and Follow

Pau has its own live streaming platform, which makes it very easy to access for a nominal one-time fee. You can sign up for this year’s stream and on-demand viewing here. The cost is about $33 / €24.50 and grants you access to both the live feed as well as on-demand content for the next year.

We’ll also have a live blog run by Cheg Darlington for cross country on Saturday, so you can use that to follow along as you’re able, or alongside the live stream.

The Players

Our field this week is full of former winners, both human and equine, Olympic athletes, World Champions and some keen rising stars eager to make an impression. While we’ve slid into this end of the year on our back feet and without a full Form Guide for this year’s field, you can take a look at our entry preview here. The EquiRatings Prediction Center is another way to handicap the field and get a better sense of who’s likely to perform how, and while the deadline has passed to form your Eventing Manager team for this week, you can follow along to see scoring trends in their live scoring view here.

Here are a few more facts and figures about this year’s field:

The Officials

James Rooney (IRL) is the President of our Ground Jury and dressage judge at C this week. Joining James are Judy Hancock (GBR) and Laure Eslan (FRA). Alec Lochore is serving as Technical Delegate this weekend.

Pierre Michelet returns for another revival of his long-running cross country course, and he’s assisted by Frenchman Nicolas Burtin this year. Yann Royant (FRA) is the show jumping designer.

The Cross Country Course

You can view the full course map below, thanks to CrossCountry App (you can also view the course in-app or in your browser here):

This year’s course features an optimum time of 11:00, with 31 numbered fences containing around 48 jumping efforts, not including long routes. One newer feature early on course comes at fences 4 and 5, which now feature a “broken bridge” style of jump with a built-up landing. Generally, the course will follow the same path as 2025’s edition. The intensity of the course is set mostly on the back half of the course, with 28 of the jumping efforts set in the final five-and-a-half minutes or so.
