Limburg, Belgium – May 06, 2026 – Anthony Philippaerts (BEL) and his horse Gabell d’Arvor claimed silver together with their teammates, the Red Musketeers, in the Nations Cup of Mannheim CSIO 3*. With a clear round and just one jumping fault in his second round, the youngest of the Philippaerts brothers can look back on a successful senior Nations Cup debut.
In the first round, three of the four Belgian combinations jumped clear in Mannheim. In the second round, two riders had a rail down, including Anthony Philippaerts.
“This is a result I would have signed for beforehand,” says Anthony Philippaerts (BEL). “Going clear in my first senior round gave me confidence. It’s a pity about that one mistake in the second round, but overall I’m very satisfied with my debut. As a team, we performed strongly, which resulted in a second-place finish.”
Anthony Philippaerts (BEL) managed to keep my head cool before the start of the competition: “I was the youngest on the team and competing for my country at this level for the first time. I wasn’t nervous, but you do feel some pressure because you’re riding for your country. People expect something from you, so you want to do as well as possible. I’m happy with my performance and that of my teammates,” he says.
