Agria Oslo Horse Show Launches the 2026/2027 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ – Western European League

Oslo, Norway – October 04, 2026 – The indoor season is ready to burst back into life as the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup – Western European League gets under way in Oslo (NOR) this week, launching a campaign that will take Athletes across Europe in pursuit of valuable points and, ultimately, qualification for the Final in Gothenburg (SWE) next year.

The League will visit 13 venues across 10 countries, with only an Athlete’s best seven results counting towards the overall standings.

The first points will be on offer at the Agria Oslo Horse Show on Sunday, 11 October. The opening qualifier has attracted a field filled with proven contenders and some of the sport’s most recognisable names.

A Star-Studded Field in Oslo

Fresh from being crowned FEI Jumping World Champion in Aachen (GER) in August 2026, Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat (SUI) will begin his campaign in Norway as he chases a historic fourth FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final crown.

Belgium’s Thibeau Spits (BEL) will also be among the Aachen medallists in action in Oslo, after claiming Individual silver and helping Belgium to Team silver, while Germany’s Marcus Ehning (GER) arrives on the back of Team gold on home soil.

Guerdat and Ehning are part of a four-strong group of former Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final winners entered for the first leg. They are joined by Switzerland’s Martin Fuchs and Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), giving the season opener an impressive collection of competitors who already know what it takes to lift the coveted trophy.

The depth continues with Kevin Staut (FRA), who heads into the new season after finishing fifth at the 2026 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Fort Worth (USA), while Marc Dilasser (FRA) will be looking to make another strong start in Oslo after placing seventh at the 2025 qualifier.

Home Hopes and the Road to Gothenburg

A notable Scandinavian contingent will also feature, while the home crowd will have plenty to cheer about with a sizeable Norwegian entry.

Oda Charlotte Lyngvaer (NOR) lines up in front of her home crowd after finishing just 0.04 seconds behind Guerdat in the final Western European League qualifier of the 2025/2026 season in Helsinki (FIN). The Gulliksen family will also be out in force, with Geir, Johan-Sebastian and Victoria among those representing Norway.

After Oslo, the Western European League will move on to Lyon (FRA), Verona (ITA), Stuttgart (GER), Madrid (ESP), A Coruña (ESP), London (GBR) and Mechelen (BEL) to complete the 2026 portion of the campaign.

The battle resumes in the new year with Basel (SUI), Leipzig (GER) and Amsterdam (NED), followed by Bordeaux (FRA), before Helsinki once again stages the final qualifier.

One significant change to this season’s calendar comes in Gothenburg. After staging a qualifier last season, the Swedish city steps away from the qualifying roster in 2026/2027 to host the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final next March.

It is a fitting destination for the finale of the series. Gothenburg staged the inaugural FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in 1979 and has held a special place in its history ever since. Nearly half a century later, the world’s leading qualified Athletes will return to the Scandinavium to battle for one of Jumping’s most prestigious individual titles.

Before then, there are 13 qualifiers to contest, countless points to chase and six months of indoor Jumping still to come. The Agria Oslo Horse Show runs from 7 to 11 October, with the opening Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Western European League qualifier taking place on Sunday, 11 October.
