Turbo Power! Sanne Thijssen & Con Quidam RB Leave the Field in the Dust at Doha!

Doha, Qatar – February 28, 2025 – Sanne Thijssen (NED) and Con Quidam RB were off to the races and back to the winner’s circle last Friday at the 2025 Longines Global Champions Tour. Once again, the Longines Arena at the stunning Al Shaqab was the stage for the thrilling €57,150 First GCL Individual Speed Challenge CSI 5*.

Fifty combinations from all over the world contested the 1.55m test but it was the renowned Dutch rider and the 19-bay Holsteiner stallion (Quinar Z x Cardino) who came out on top, leaving the rest of the field in the dust after penalty-free round in 67.48 seconds.

Johan Sebastian Gulliksen (NED) & Equine America Harwich VDL

The winner’s speed proved to be too much for the rest of the competitors. Johan Sebastian Gulliksen (NED) & Equine America Harwich VDL came the closest, finishing second in 71.79 seconds.

Gerfried Puck (AUT) & Equitron Ornaat V

Gerfried Puck (AUT) and Equitron Ornaat V were right on the heels of the latter two, finishing just eight-hundredths of a second behind them.
