One Big Thing: Ride iQ’s Equestrian Mastermind Season 3 is out now

EN’s good friend and sponsor Natalie Hummel guides Ride iQ’s Equestrian Mastermind podcast, and Season 3’s first episode has dropped now on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Episode 1 features Natalie’s conversation with world-class riders Phillip Dutton, Tik Maynard, Will Coleman, and Michael Pollard.

Highlights from the Episode:

  • Natalie plays a clip for the riders she uses in her sports psychology consultations that asks a question of “Why Do I Do This?”: What is that deeper purpose that continues to drive you to the sport, regardless of your losses and struggles? Each rider gives a response to their own personal journeys with winning, losing, and their deeper purpose, with a benefit to the audience of the variety of perspectives from 5* winners to riders who have since left the 5* spotlight.
  • The panel-type conversation centers around four questions Natalie asks to each rider:
    • Throughout your career, when have you felt a lack of fulfillment or a disconnection, and what felt most familiar to you?
    • Did you ever get a win that you thought would change your life, but it didn’t?
    • If you set aside all the external pressure to win, what would still pull you forward to competition?
    • What do you do to reconnect when you notice yourself losing your sense of clarity?

Phillip, Tik, Will, and Michael all provide expert insight on mindsets, balancing family life, motivations, and purpose as competitors and horsemen. Listen in and bookmark Equestrian Mastermind so you catch the upcoming episodes!
