Hitting the airwaves today! It’s our Season 1 finale of The Go Eventing Podcast, and we’re going out with a bang. At long last, Sally sits down with none other than Boyd Martin for a wide-ranging, unfiltered, and yes, occasionally hilarious conversation about what it really takes to build a long-term career in this sport. From balancing Olympic dreams with family life to finding flow in a packed competition season, Boyd brings the grit, the charm, and more than a few surprises (metal skeletons, anyone?).

It’s the perfect wrap-up to a season shaped by growth, relationships, and staying all-in. We also have a fun surprise and included TerraNova CCI4*-L winner Sydney Elliott in the mix! Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it when it drops — and while you’re at it, we’d love your help shaping Season 2. Take our quick listener survey here and let us know what you want more of in 2026!

Pressure in the ring isn’t just “in your head” — it’s in your nervous system. In a new upcoming workshop featuring Natalie Hummel and Boyd Martin, we get a behind-the-scenes look at how training your nervous system (just like your horse) can unlock real performance gains. Boyd and Natalie will share how breathwork, recovery rituals, and body awareness helped shift a rider from tension to connection, on and off the horse. Learn more and register for the free Nov. 20 live event here.

Want one exercise to improve adjustability, balance, and stride control? This pole exercise does it all. Set two poles 27’ apart and ride it three ways: a quiet two strides, a forward galloping one stride, and a collected three. It’s a simple setup with big benefits, perfect for tuning up both horse and rider. See it in more detail here.
