As The Event at Rebecca Farm gears up for a milestone 25th running July 15-19, developing riders looking to make the trip to Kalispell, MT have a financial resource available to help get them there, and the clock is ticking to get your application in.

The USEA Foundation, through the generous support of the Broussard Family Charitable Foundation, is accepting applications for the Rebecca Farm Travel Grant through June 1, 2026. The grants are designed to offset transportation costs for riders competing in the CCI3* and CCI4* divisions who also plan to apply for the Rebecca Broussard International Developing Rider Grant (also known as a career springboard for many eventual team and/or five-star riders). Applications are available at the USEA Foundation website here.

The Event at Rebecca Farm was created by the late Rebecca Broussard in 2002 and quickly became a fixture on the national eventing scene, typically drawing 600+ horse and rider pairs. This summer’s edition marks the 25th time the Western Wonderland has opened its gates — a significant milestone for an event that has become one of the most beloved on the U.S. calendar. Breast cancer took Rebecca Broussard in 2010, and in her honor, The Event’s Halt Cancer at X charitable initiative has raised and distributed over $1.1 million in grants to research projects seeking a cure and to local nonprofits supporting those facing the disease.

To be eligible for the travel grant, applicants must be U.S. citizens in good standing with both the USEA and USEF, must not have represented the U.S. at the Pan American Games, Olympics, or World Games/Championships, and must be competing in the 3* or 4* division at the event. Applications must include a travel financial plan outlining estimated expenses and planned revenue for the trip to Kalispell.Grant recipients will be notified of their awards by June 15.

A few logistical notes worth paying attention to for anyone planning the trip: Glacier Park International Airport will undergo runway renovations impacting flight availability in July, with weekday closures running Monday at 6 p.m. through Friday at 10 a.m., July 13–17. The Missoula Airport, approximately two hours from Rebecca Farm, is an alternative. The Under the Big Sky Music Festival is also taking place July 17–19 in nearby Whitefish, so early hotel and camping arrangements are strongly advised.

Entries for the event open June 2 and close June 30 — and as anyone who’s tried to get into Rebecca Farm knows, they fill fast! You can view the omnibus listing here and find more information on Rebecca Farm here.
