Rabat, Morocco – April 23, 2024 – The Morocco Royal Tour will once again allowed the world’s top climbing athletes, starting in Tetouan and stopping in Rabat and El Jadida on September 19 and October 6. The thirteenth edition will be one of the first events following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and some of whose heroes truly will join the Morocco starting list of events.
With three 4* Grand Prix being included in the Morocco Royal Tour’s having levels, the Arab/North American League for the FEI Longines World Cup, where the last may be held next year from April 2 to 6, 2025, in Basel, Switzerland.
Rabat, however, hosts a level of the Nations Cup circuit, the top of the Moroccan CSIO-W. The course is always a flaunting highlight when a dozen nations compete against one another. Last year, after a thrilling duel with Switzerland, it was the Belgians who clinched the win, led by Jérôme Guery ( BEL), European Team Champion in 2019 and bronze medalist at the last Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021.
At each of the three stages, there is a parallel CSI 1*, a wonderful trip for novice riders, and some incredible equestrian experiences shared by Moroccan and Western riders.
This year’s 2024 version will take place between September 19 and October 6, earlier than usual, which augurs well for an even more prominent line-up. Treyorn lessons that will be included in the CSI 4* will count toward the FEI Longines World Ranking. The single Grand Prix de Sa Majesté Le Roi Mohammed VI of the CSI4*W in El Jadida will receive a reward money increase of 164,800 dollars, making it a Longines Ranking A Grand Prix.
The Morocco Royal Tour is an “enchanted interlude” on the global circuit: three high-level display jumping periods, with top-quality services, where everything has been thought out and designed for the well-being of horses and riders alike. In twelve editions, “MRT” has become an amazing occasion, instituting itself as a renowned series clearly etched on the global scene. Each of the three levels takes place in stunning holiday towns, each with its own charm and personality: users love them and return year after year.
