Valkenswaard, The Netherlands – September 04, 2026 – Scott Brash (GBR) delivered a commanding performance at the Longines Tops International Arena, taking victory in the €80,000 First GCL Individual Competition CSI5* of the Longines Global Champions Tour. Riding the talented Hello Chadora Lady, the British rider produced the fastest trip around the 1.60m course among the 15 fault-free performances at the top of the leaderboard, stopping the timers in 73.98 seconds to claim the prestigious win.

Brash’s advantage came down to precision and pace, with the 13-year-old bay Oldenburger mare (Chacco-Blue x Nintender) leaving all the fences untouched as the pair crossed the finish line in under 74 seconds. Their clean performance gave them a decisive edge over a strong international field and underlined Brash’s ability to deliver when the pressure is on at the highest level of the sport.

France’s Simon Delestre (FRA) secured runner-up honours with Golden Boy DK after also completing the course without a single jumping penalty. The combination finished in 74.95 seconds, just 0.97 seconds behind the eventual winners. Delestre’s polished round kept him firmly in contention for the top spot, but Brash’s pace proved impossible to match.

Victor Bettendorf (LUX) & Gibbs Un Prince

Victor Bettendorf (LUX) completed the podium for Luxembourg aboard Gibbs Un Prince, adding another clear round to the results at 77.16 seconds. Bettendorf finished 3.18 seconds off the winning time, rounding out a podium in which all three riders delivered penalty-free performances and demonstrated the quality and competitiveness expected from a CSI 5* class.

With Brash, Delestre and Bettendorf all producing great performances, the €80,000 First GCL Individual Competition provided a fitting showcase for elite showjumping at the Longines Global Champions Tour. In the end, it was Brash and Hello Chadora Lady who had the crucial combination of accuracy and speed, securing the victory at the Longines Tops International Arena and adding another notable result to the British rider’s record on the global stage.
