Doha, Qatar – February 13, 2026 – At the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab, the €1,500,000 Grand Prix of Doha CSI 5* for H.H. The Amir’s Sword delivered a finale worthy of its stage as Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) and his mare Diriyah claimed victory after an explosive jump-off.
After two demanding rounds of top-level sport, the tension was palpable. Clear rounds were hard-earned, time was everything, and the jump-off promised no mercy as nine of the thirteen combinations who advanced to the second round qualified for the grand finale.
Pieter Devos (BEL) and Casual DV Z set the standard, leaving all the poles up for the third time, thus establishing the time to beat at 39.20 seconds.
Khaled Almobty (KSA) had plans to overtake the Belgian. The Saudi rider set off at a fast pace aboard Diana du Plevau Z and managed to achieve his objective, taking over the lead in 37.45 seconds.
The clock was unforgiving and then came Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) – last to go, composed. Calculated. Unshaken. Riding Diriyah with absolute conviction, he attacked the course with precision and power, shaving every possible stride to stop the clock at a blistering 36.29 seconds. A statement jump-off performance for the iconic H.H. The Amir’s Sword Grand Prix!
Khaled Almobty (KSA) and Diana du Plevau Z secured second after a fearless performance, while Devos and Casual DV Z completed a podium defined by world-class sport.
The atmosphere at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab was electric from start to finish. As the jump-off order tightened and the clock became the ultimate judge, the crowd rose with every stride, every turn, every daring approach to the fences. It was a collective heartbeat, a surge of anticipation and celebration that transformed the Grand Prix into a truly unforgettable spectacle.
