[Lexington, KY] – Australian Grand Prix rider, Rowan Willis, and his long-time partner, Blue Movie, an Anglo European mare, are set to kick-off their spring show season at the highly-anticipated Kentucky Invitational CSI4* this Friday and Saturday, April 26th and 27th.
Willis, who hails from New South Wales, has had a remarkable showjumping career thus-far with Blue Movie, “Carrots.” Having worked with her since birth, Willis and the Chacco Blue Chestnut mare have solidified themselves as an iconic partnership on the international stage, most notably placing 12th in the 2018 FEI World Equestrian GamesTM in Tryon, North Carolina, helping team Australia take a 6th place finish overall.
The duo have a stellar track record at the Kentucky Invitational having placed 3rd overall in the Grand Prix in 2019 and then taking a 7th place finish in the same class in 2023.
