San Miguel de Allende, Mexico – March 02, 2025 – Two weeks of top sport, two weeks of excitement and the warm ambiance at Otomí Club Hípico / Otomí Residencial Hípico reached an all-time high this year. Rodrigo Lambre (BRA) stole the spotlight of the curtain call there last Sunday, racing past the competition in the USD $15,000 Banorte Clasico CSI 2*.
Twelve combinations had qualified for the winning round finale but it was the Brazilian and the 11-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood gelding (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) who came out on top in the contest, doing so by clearing all the 1.40m obstacles before securing the win in 44.65 seconds.
Despite being denied victory and to the delight of the home crowd, the host nation did not disappoint, claiming the next two positions on the podium. Juan Carlos Alvarez del Castillo B (MEX) and Puertas Party jumped to stardom, matching the clean scorecard of the eventual winners while finishing eight-tenths of a second behind them
Lorenza Mena Rodriguez (MEX) and Elvis Presley powered their way towards bronze honors, registering no penalties and a final time of 46.13 seconds.
