Robert Murphy Shines Bright in the Grand Prix of Salzburg CSI 4*

Salzburg, Austria – December 07, 2025 – In the Grand Prix of Salzburg CSI 4*, the 25-year-old Brit Robert Murphy (GBR) and his experienced partner Hulde G triumphed ahead of Tamás Mráz (HUN) and Ronny Healy (RSA).

A total of 40 combinations competed in a top-class international field in the final CSI4* Grand Prix, which had a total prize money of €105,500. Course manager Franz Madl (AUT) and his team put together a challenging but fair course over 1.60 meters high and 420 meters long with 13 obstacles and 16 jumps. Only four rider-horse pairs remained clear in the basic round and thus qualified for the exciting jump-off for victory.

At his first Grand Prix at 4* level, Robert Murphy (GBR) showed nerves of steel. He risked everything and was rewarded: With a lead of over three seconds, the young Brit celebrated the greatest triumph of his young career and summed up:

“I was here with the mare last year. But today is our first Grand Prix victory together at 4* level. There is a special atmosphere here, Hulde G jumped fantastically over the days and was in top form. This is of course a great end to the season for us and I would also like to thank the tournament organization for the good conditions.”

The multiple European Championship participant from Hungary, Tamás Mráz, (HUN), took second place with his top horse Viva Cent, a 12-year-old stallion by Vivant. Third place went to Ronny Healy (RSA) from South Africa, who is stationed in Germany. He also showed a faultless and fast round with his twelve-year-old gelding Cornet’s Mandarino. The fourth starter in the jump-off, Michael Greeve (NED), who had saddled his Commissar Pezi, a horse previously ridden by Martin Fuchs, unfortunately had to accept a drop and thus took fourth place.

At the award ceremony, Robert Jauck, President of the Salzburg Equestrian Association, summed up the tournament:

“On behalf of the association, I would like to thank the organizer of the AHI, the riders and their horses, the sponsors, everyone who helped organize this beautiful tournament in Salzburg and their constant efforts to ensure animal welfare.”
