Hamburg, Germany – May 15, 2026 – The German crowd present at the Klein Flottbek were proud as their national anthem was heard at the famous showgrounds of the 2026 Al Shira’aa German Jumping & Dressage Derby CSI 5* & CSI 4* on Thursday evening. Philipp Weishaupt (GER) and Callao L dominated the Al Shira’aa Tour’s €28,500 Hoove Prize CSI 5*.
After having already claimed a third-place finish in the €28,750 CPA Lichtkonzept GmbH & Co.KG Prize CSI 5* the previous day, the dynamic duo were even better, topping the 1.50m speed challenge against 40 other entries. The 9-year-old grey Westphalian gelding (Congress x Asca Z) were over two seconds faster (68.86) than any other combination that completed the course.

“Callao is extremely careful, has tremendous quality, and we’re slowly getting more and more in sync,” explained the European vice-champion. “He’s only nine years old and won a 1.50-meter show jumping competition for the first time today. I really couldn’t be happier with today’s round.”
It was a one two for Germany as Nicola Pohl (GER) and Fee du Val Guerard also left all the poles up too, crossing the finish line in 70.92 seconds.
Koen Vereecke (BEL) and Merryweather van’T Leeuwerikenhof made it to the top three due to their clean round in 72.14 seconds.
