Vejer de la Frontera, Spain – November 02, 2025 – Pedro Veniss (BRA) was on form today with an impressive jump-off round in the €109,950 Andalucía Grand Prix CSI 4*, the highlight of the first ever 4* week here at the fifth Andalucía October Tour. Bringing the tour to an exciting close he won the class with the 14-year-old Nimrod de Muze Imperio Egipcio (Nabab de Reve x Tinka’s Boy), Pedro’s Olympic partner in Paris. This pair have many top results in their resumé, including victory in the Grand Prix of Montefalco CSI4* last year and fourth place in the 1.60 Grand Prix of La Baule CSI 5*. At the 2023 World Show Jumping Championships, they were fifth in the Nations Cup in Santiago and fourth in the FEI Nations League Final in Barcelona.
Today they took on the challenge in the grass David Broome arena, over a course of 1.55m. Fourteen combinations advanced to the jump off and the winning time was 38.34 seconds, taking the lead from the French rider, Melissa Garbail (FRA) and Dandy de L’Eyre (Iowa x Ephebe For Ever*La Silla), who ended up in third place with a time of 38.63s after a late challenge from the top young Irish rider Niamh McEvoy (IRL) and Olympic GL FVD who were last, to go just missing the top spot and taking second in 38.60 seconds.
After the competition, Veniss told us he was very happy with his horse’s performance: “There were many clear rounds in the first round, so the strategy for the jump-off was to try to go very fast, and the horse was once again fantastic in the jump-off”.
