Wellington, United States – January 02, 2026 – The first Super Saturday of the 2026 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) got underway with the running of the $25,000 Hermès 1.50m Championship Jumper Classic kicked off with a win from Colombia’s Pablo Mejia Villa (COL) riding his own 9-year-old Caramia.

The dynamic duo bested five other combinations in the jump-off, charging across the finish line in 30.591 seconds.

Richard Vogel (GER) & Quizas Van’T Hulsbos

The Colombian’s feat was enhanced by the fact that he had nipped Richard Vogel (GER), the current sixth-ranked rider in the world, who guided Quizas Van T’Hulsbos across the finish line in 31.626 seconds.

Diego Perez Bilbao (ESP) & CMD Scarlet

Three different nations shared the podium, a testament of fierce international rivalry. Diego Perez Bilbao (ESP) dashed for the cash aboard CMD Scarlet, completing the top three in 31.698 seconds.

The $150,000 Hermès 1.50m Championship Jump Series Final takes place on March 21 during WEF 11.
