Bourg-en-Bresse, France – May 11, 2025 – The 2025 Jumping International de Bourg-en-Bresse CSI 4* came to an end on Sunday and to the delight of French specators Megane Moissonnier (FRA) used strategy on Crooner Tame to conquer victory in the €106,000 Grand Prix of the City of Bourg-en-Bresse CSI 4*.

Twelve of the supposed thirteen entries who had qualified took part in round 2 of the challenge run under the format of two rounds, meaning that the total score would be the first criteria to determine the winners, time being used only if there was a tie. Strategy played an important role in the outcome of the 1.55m contest. Seeing the high difficulty of the course in the first round, Mégane Moissonnier (FRA) chose to be conservative, opting for a clean first round performance.

Despite this approach costing her two time penalties aboard the 2012 bay Selle Français stallion (Conrad x Quaprice Boimargot Quincy), this proved to be the correct choice as she managed to qualify for the second round.I n the second round, Moissonnier mastered the course again but this time with no time penalties, bringing her final score to 2 penalty-points, which was more than enought for the victory.
The next two highest positions on the podium were claimed by her two of countrymen, both after having a pole down in the first round and the final score of four penalty-points each. Benôit Cernin (FRA) and Dynamite du Miral were the closest ones, finishing second in 49.20 seconds while Antoine Ermann (FRA) and Foxpit Grim rounded out the top three in 53.22 seconds.
