Malin Baryard-Johnsson & Harley Davidson Showcase Horsepower at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour CSI 3*

Oliva Nova, Spain – February 01, 2025 – When it comes to horsepower, either you have under you or you don’t! When it comes to the sport of showjumping, experience counts a lot. When you join them together, it can produce great results. More suitingly, wins were expected when a horse named Harley Davidson, who honors his name with lots of horsepower, was teamed up with Malin Baryard-Johnsson (SWE).

On Saturday, the duo motored past 9 other combinations in the jump-off, out of the original 45 others entries, of the €30,000 MET Jump-off Challenge CSI 3*. Malin mastered the 1.50m course aboard the 2011 bay Swedish Warmblood gelding (Hip Hop x Calypso III), securing the win in 39.46 seconds.

However, the win didn’t come that easy. Jörne Sprehe (GER) and Sprehe Hot Easy gave them a run for their money, earning reserve honors less than three-tenths of a seconds behind.

A familiar face in the winner’s circle at the venue, this time Koen Vereecke (BEL) had to settle for bronze honors on Merryweather Vt Leeuwerikenhof. They duo also had two flawless “flights”, tripping the timers in 40.33 seconds.
