Fontainebleau, France – April 19, 2026 – In 2026, Le Printemps des Sports Équestres will evolve significantly. For its fifth edition, the event will take place over two weeks at the legendary Grand Parquet in Fontainebleau. The second week of competition, from 22nd to 26th April, will showcase showjumping, in particular the CSI 5*, CSI 2* and the Master Pro FFE Championships. Two disciplines, two major events, one destination. Le Printemps des Sports Équestres will bring together the world’s equestrian elite for a fortnight.
Showjumping – 22nd to 26th April!
The CSI 5* will once again bring together the world’s show jumping elite, and this year, the leading competition will return to the legendary Grand Parquet grass arena. The highlight of the weekend, the GL events Grand Prix CSI 5* will attract a first-rate line-up and promises unforgettable sporting action.
Once again, the course layout, the quality of the fences and the presence of the Olympic course designers Grégory Bodo (FRA) and Santiago Varela Ullastres (ESP), the former as course designer and the latter as technical delegate) will make this event an ideal final rehearsal for the FEI World Championships in Aachen. “Many of the world’s top riders have already told us they want to come and compete in Fontainebleau in April. We are honoured to host them and are doing everything to offer them a truly exceptional experience. We are delighted to see the return of flagship competitions to the main arena, the symbolic grass ring where the best moments of equestrian history have so often been enjoyed,” underlines Sylvie Robert.

The Master Pro FFE: A Key Event in French Sport
The Master Pro FFE has been one of the pillars of Le Printemps des Sports Équestres, since the first edition of the event in 2022. The French Pro Show Jumping Championships, organised with the French Equestrian Federation, will bring together the best French combinations in the Pro 2, Pro 1,
Pro Elite & Young Rider Categories
These highly coveted national titles offer plenty of suspense each year and recognise the most accomplished riders currently competing before a large audience.

An Experience for Everyone
Beyond the sporting aspect, Le Printemps des Sports Équestres provides a great experience for the whole family. Around the competition arenas, the Discovery Village will offer a range of activities for young and old alike. Pony rides, educational workshops, fun courses and equestrian activities will be organised by the Fontainebleau Cheval association and the École Militaire d’Équitation in Fontainebleau. Every day, a treasure hunt will be organised, allowing families to search for the Grand Parquet’s treasure chest.
The French Republican Guard will also be present for several performances, while the Jardin des Exposants (exhibitors’ area) will bring together equipment manufacturers, craftsmen and catering areas in a welcoming setting.
The Fences Performers Auction
On Saturday 25th April, Fences will organise another evening auction with promising sport horses and embryos – an event eagerly awaited by professionals and breeding enthusiasts alike.
