Miami Beach, United States – April 03, 2026 – Just as gold is rare to find so is finding a great horse. Carrying the luck of the Irish Jordan Coyle (IRL) found the perfect partner in For Gold, horse that powered him to victory in the first GCL Individual Competition CSI 5* on Friday at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Miami Beach CSI 5*.

Contested by 24 combinations, only four combinations completed the 1.60m speed challenge without any penalties and it was Coyle who claimed top honors aboard Falkirk Farm’s 15-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding (For Fashion x Heraldik), registering no penalties in 68.52 seconds.

More than just the luck of the Irish! Another Irishman impressed too as Ciaran Nallon (IRL) guided Casablanca Blue PS across the finish line for reserve honors in 70.81 seconds.

Thibault Philippaerts‘ (BEL) conservative approach aboard Lyandro MDB paid off. Despite being much slower, they still held on to bronze honors despite being over 9 seconds slower than the eventual winners.
Final Results – €56,800 GCL Individual Competition CSI 5*
1) Jordan Coyle (IRL) & For Gold – 0 – 68.52
2) Ciaran Nallon (IRL) & Casablanca Blue PS – 0 – 70.81
