Harrisburg, United States – October 18, 2026 – In an exciting conclusion to open jumper competition at the 80th Pennsylvania National Horse Show, Jordan Coyle (IRL) and Cordiamo closed out their week with a win in the $100,000 Grand Prix de Penn National, presented by Forrester Farm Equipment.
The pair returned to the Harrisburg Coliseum at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex on Saturday night, October 17, fresh off a win in Thursday’s $30,000 Desert International Horse Park 1.40m Welcome. This time, Coyle and the 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding, owned by Elan Farm, were one of eight entries from the 29-horse starting field to advance without fault to the Bernardo Costa Cabral-designed short course.
When they reentered the ring for the jump-off, the time to beat had been set 38.725 seconds by Filip de Wandel (BEL) and Strongbeau, owned by Five Way Farm LLC – but Coyle was prepared to blow that time out of the water.

Just 31.758 seconds after they started, Coyle and Cordiamo crossed the finish line, and that time would ultimately hold up to give them the win by a margin of nearly four seconds. Sliding into second place with a time of 35.602 seconds were Gustavo Xavier Cortez and Action T, owned by Falkirk Farm , while de Wandel and Strongbeau held on to third.
“I know he’s a fast horse,” said Coyle of Cordiamo, who Coyle has had since the gelding was 3 years old. “I was actually very tight back to the second jump. He’s not going to touch them. I did get lucky at the second to last. It was a little bit hairy there, but he was quite good again tonight.”
Coyle continued, “I think there is a big future with him for sure. He’s very careful; he’s very competitive. If I do a good job, I think he’ll jump five-star grand prix competitively.”
This year marked Coyle’s second year competing at the PNHS, and this year, he was notably impressed with the crowd turnout.
“Tonight, the atmosphere was unbelievable,” said Coyle. “It felt like a real class. The course builder did a good job. The jumps weren’t too big, but there weren’t so many clear. It was just difficult enough.”
For the grand prix win, Coyle was presented with the Harrisburg Kiwanis Club Challenge Trophy. Cordiamo’s groom was presented with the Caffarey-Hennessy Caretaker Award, sponsored by Patty Hennessy, and Cordiamo also earned the 1.40m Jumper Championship. The Wissie Brede Memorial Challenge Trophy for the 1.40m Leading Lady Jumper Rider Award, sponsored by Brandywine Tent Rental, went to Laura Chapot.
Now, Coyle’s 2026 season has come to a close, just as the 2026 PNHS also comes to a conclusion on Sunday, October 18. To learn more about the PNHS, visit panational.org.
