Le Touquet, France – May 09, 2025 – On this second day of competition, the Touquet Classic CSI 3* experienced a strong moment both at an institutional and sporting levels. The official press conference, organized this Friday on the sidelines of the competition, made it possible to reaffirm the ambitions of the City of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage for the development of the equestrian site, while the afternoon was marked by an impressive victory for the British Jessica Mendoza (GBR), in the major event of the day: the €28,200 Prix Vilamoura Classic (1.50 m).
Riding Summerhouse, she won after a tough jump-off. Her audacity allowed her to beat Gilles Thomas (BEL) on Qiara de Kalvarie and Cian O’Connor (IRL) with Bentley de Sury.
Among the 20 jump-off finalists, there were Karl Cook (USA), Tom Wachman (IRL), Maverick van Lent, Alexandre de Rothschild (IRL) and Romain Moresve (FRA), the latter, the best Frenchman in the class with a 7th place.

Winner’s Circle – Jessica Mendoza (GBR)
“This is my first participation in the Touquet Classic, and I am delighted with this victory! The course was selective and my horse very attentive. With such a strong field, this success has a special flavor,” she commented. She also praised the work of course manager Grégoire Lachat (SUI), author of demanding but fair routes: “With twenty jump-off riders, one might think that the course was easy, but it was above all the level of the riders that was impressive.”
