Basel, Switzerland – January 09, 2026 – The €202, Longines Grand Prix of Basel CSI 5*- W run over 1.60 metres went to Kim Emmen (NED). It was a day of firsts for The Dutch rider who secured her first Grand Prix victory ever. This brought the second day of competition in Basel to a close with three victories for female riders. Emmen excelled aboard Imagine N.O.P., edging four other combinations in the tiebreaker by being the only one to leave all the poles up.
Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Donatello d’Auge were over a second faster but their time of 32.61 seconds came at the expense of one rail down, meaning that they would have to settle for second place.
Pieter Devos (BEL) and Casual DV Z fell victim to one of the obstacles in the jump-off too, being slower than the winners but still earning a well-deserved third place due to their time of 34.50 seconds.
The best Swiss rider was Steve Guerdat, who came ninth with Lancelotta. Martin Fuchs came 14th with L&L Lorde and is optimistic about their progress: “I am very happy with the progress we are making together. We are not far off achieving the results we want.”Looking ahead, he added: “I am looking forward to the World Cup on Sunday.”
