Doha, Qatar – January 10, 2026 – After winning the €200,000 Grand Prix of Doha CSI 4* the week before, Harry Charles (GBR) was back on top at the 2026 Doha Equestrian Tour’s H.H. The Father Amir’s Prix CSI 5* & CSI 3*. This time, the British rider guided Bandit to first place in the €29,000 Special Two-Phase Challenge CSI 5* on Saturday at Al Shaqab in the Qatari capital.

Great Britain has been the most successful nation until now at the Doha Equestrian Tour (DET) and the top two positions on the podium were a testament of that. The winningest rider of the circuit, Millie Allen (GBR) and her faithful partner Quick Diamant HR gave Britain a one-two finish, backed their clean jump-off effort in 35.41 seconds.

Charles (GBR) and 2015 bay Irish Sport Horse stallion (Obos Quality x Cruising Micky Fun) blazed through final course, taking the lead for good in 35.41 seconds.

One of the most consistent riders of the tour too, Roberto Previtali (ITA) was not denied another podium finish. Riding I’m Special Mess PS, the speedy Italian rounded out the top three in 36.16 seconds.
“Bandit is back at five-star level after nearly a year away, so starting with a win is fantastic. He has plenty more in the tank, and as the tour progresses, I hope to build him up to the bigger classes here in Doha.” – Harry Charles (GBR)
