Selena Hanlon and Anne-Marie Duarte celebrate a horse of a lifetime. Photo via Selena on Facebook.

Congratulations to Selena and Morag O’Hanlon, whose horse Rather Boldly was inducted into the Ontario Eventing Hall of Fame last weekend at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair! Rather Boldly was a horse Selena bred from her first Advanced mare, Be Bold Juliet. “Riley” went on to be campaigned by Selena’s longtime right hand woman, Anne-Marie Duarte, at the Preliminary level as well as in the jumper ring. Congratulations to all!

The USEA American Eventing Championships are heading back to Kentucky Horse Park in 2026! Now is the time to start sorting out your qualifications so you can head to Kentucky and compete at one of the most iconic venues in the sport. The AEC will take place at the end of August, so keep this primer handy so you can make your plans accordingly.

Before topping the FEI rankings in 2025, Harry Meade was learning his craft in the British hunt fields, jumping hedges on unknown horses and tweaking his stirrup length to see what worked. That early experimentation shaped a style focused on clarity and minimal interference, helping him become the first rider to go clear and inside the time at three different 5*s in a single season. Learn more about the evolution of Harry’s philosophy here, and don’t forget to listen to his chat with EN’s Sally Spickard on The Go Eventing Podcast here.

The countdown is on to the British Eventing Support Trust Winter Ball, returning to The Savoy on November 29, and the silent auction is officially live! With demand for support up 52% this year, every bid helps the Trust continue its vital work for British Eventing members.
