Lara de Liedekerke is off to another hot start, fresh off the heels of her win at Boekelo, taking the Thursday lead in the 7-year-old division at Mondial du Lion’s Young Horse Breeding World Championships. She coasted to a 28.3 with the Hanoverian gelding Helios, who competed at Le Lion as a 6-year-old with Spanish rider Albert Hermoso Farras before the ride transferred to Lara this year.
Lara’s got company (and a whole group of competitors yet to come today) very close behind in the USA’s Hallie Coon, also on a bit of a hot streak of late, with Boleybawn Oliva, an Irish mare Hallie has produced from the outset of her FEI career.
North America is well-represented in France this week, with riders like Cassie Sanger, Lexi Scovil, Gillian Beale King, Grace Taylor and Cosby Green and for Canada Colleen Loach and Rebecca Howard.
