We’re back for day two of dressage at MARS Badminton, and it should be a properly exciting day with some big hitters to see as we conclude this first phase of competition. In case you need to catch up, allow us to refer you to our Ultimate Guide, which will have links to all of our coverage here on EN so far. Here’s a quick list of our coverage from Thursday:

There are also a zillion side stories that come out of every event, and while we wish it were possible to tell them all, we’re going to drop just a few links to some other platforms below so you can consume all the Badminton coverage your heart desires (and there are some really great stories out there!):

If you’re more of a stats person, we recommend a dive into the EquiRatings Eventing Instagram page here, always full of the latest stats and figures from the weekend.

To see today’s list of starters, click here. You can also find links to the live stream, scores and more in the link collection below.

In terms of on-site activities, today’s schedule includes another dressage demo in the Main Arena with Grand Prix rider Anna Ross, happening at approximately 12 pm local time, a Stallion Display (of some sort) in the Main Arena at the conclusion of dressage, and the EquiRatings team Live at the Lakeside at 5:30 pm. Lucinda Green is hosting two cross country course walks this week, including one today at 1:45 pm, meeting at fence 4. A ticket must be purchased for this, with a portion of proceeds benefitting the MARS Badminton official charity, the Ebony Horse Club. Learn more about the course walk here.

Lastly if you’re at Badminton in person, make sure to stop by and visit our friend Cherie Chauvin of Optimum Time Eventing Tourism (our partner for the new Win the Warm-up educational sessions hosted at the Aiken Showcase and Kentucky) to pick up your special edition HiHo Silver bracelet and Badminton charm!

Here’s some need-to-know info for next weekend’s USEA Intercollegiate & Interscholastic Eventing Championships at Stable View:

Closing Day may have passed, but there’s still time to get yourself organized for Intercollegiate & Interscholastic Championships. Final team rosters are due by 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday, May 11. Intercollegiate teams should send rosters to Leslie Threlkeld at [email protected]. IEL teams should send rosters to Kate Boggan at [email protected] and Alumni teams should send rosters to Cyndy Olliff at [email protected].

The weekend will also feature plenty beyond the competition itself, including a USEA Grooms Committee Horsemanship Demo with Christina Curiale on Friday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. ET during Graze & Gaze. Christina, longtime head groom and barn manager for Will Faudree, will share insight on caring for competition horses, then make rounds in the barns and warm-up areas on Saturday to answer questions and lend a hand.

Also returning this year: an enhanced College Fair, with team tents set up in College Town and the IEL stabling area. It’s a chance for college teams to connect with future recruits, and for IEL competitors to start dreaming up what comes next. The Fair will be complete with bingo cards, mascot hunting, and a grand prize from Stable View.

For more information, visit the Stable View Intercollegiates/Interscholastics page here.
