Eyes on the Prize! Déjà vu! Second World Cup Final Win by Henrik von Eckermann & King Edward en Route to Defending their Crown!

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – April 18, 2024 – Defending champion Henrik von Eckermann ( SWE ) and Swedish compatriot Peder Fredricson ( SWE ) held on to the top two places in the standings after finishing first and second, for the second day in a row, at the 2024 FEI Jumping World Cup ™ Final last night.

The 13-year-old gelding collapsed and was unable to be revived after finishing third in America’s Chromatic BF and Jill Humphrey ( USA ). For additional information, see the FEI Statement  below.

Belgium’s Pieter Devos ( BEL ) and Casual DV Z lined up in fourth ahead of French star Julien Epaillard ( FRA ) in fifth with Dubai du Cedre, Belgium’s Gregory Wathelet ( BEL ) finished sixth with Ace of Hearts and three-time title-holder Germany ’s Marcus Ehning ( GER ) filled seventh place with Coolio in this second of the three deciding competitions.

The Final concludes tomorrow ( Saturday ) with two more rounds of Jumping. When the action resumes, Von Eckermann and Fredricson are separated by less than a fence, with America’s Kent Farrington ( USA ) closely trailing Epaillard and America’s Kent Farrington.
