Erynn Ballard & Coconet Close Out the Week Winning the $140,000 Palm Beach County Sports Commission Grand Prix CSI 3*

Wellington, Florida, USA – April 21, 2024– Erynn Ballard was in it to get it in the$ 140,000  Palm Beach County Sports Commission   On Sunday afternoon at Equestrian Village, a turf tournament field will host Grand Prix CSI 3*. The 2024 ESP Spring Series, presented by&nbsp, reached its finish with the climax of three-star competition. Florida Coast Equipment. Trainer Ilan Ferder told Ballard in the warm-up room that the group was hers to get, and he was proven right. She guided Coconet, a 10-year-old Oldenburg mare ( Colman x Cornet’s Stern ) owned by Wight Show Stables to top a six-horse jump-off over courses designed by Andy Christiansen Jr. ( USA ).

“ I have n’t won [a grand prix ] in a long time, and a comment like that can make you grow and rise to the occasion, ” said Ballard. My intention was to travel with her as quickly as I have ever before, because if I did n’t win today, I wanted to lose trying to win. ”

Ballard’s strategy became a reality as she posted a jump-off day of 36. 69 seconds, just fractions faster than runner-up Luis Fernando Larrazabal (VEN ) and Condara in 36. 92 hours. Larrazabal and owner Victoria Heurtematte reached a second agreement for minute.

Collin and Luiz Francisco de Azevedo ( BRA ) won the third-place ribbon in 38. 49 moments for landlord Santa Cecilia Stables.  

Coconet, the former mount of Brazilian Olympian Yuri Mansur ( BRA ), joined Ballard’s string at the start of 2023 and has been knocking on the door of a big win. The Wight Family purchased her for my plan and development. They’re huge followers of the game and great supporters of this relationship, ” added Ballard.

She has stepped off and we have done everything right by her. We used last summer ’s winning round and speed classes to teach her how to operate, and this year she has been my four-star, three-star horse. She’s showing us that she’s a genuine company. She belongs around. ”

Coconet clearly appeared to be a part of the tournament area on Sunday as she displayed her lately attained speed in front of a niche of 42 horses.

“She’s a true fighter, but if you look at her present report, persistence is what she’s perhaps most dependable for, ” said Ballard, who has spent her winter in Wellington and will take two weeks off before focusing on her Olympic Games plan.  

“ I love Wellington; You can get what they do for us and what they give from nowhere else in the universe. This is our team’s 16th-straight year though, so we are prepared for a break, ” said Ballard with a smile.

Before traveling to Europe, Ballard, 43, may have two exhibits at home in Spruce Meadows and Thunderbird Show Park before staging a present there. Her focus will also shift to lately acquired Olympic hopeful Nikka vs. Bisschop, the 2023 Pan American Games mount of other French Beth Underhill, who recently collaborated with The Rein Family.  

“It’s a great time for me and for Canada, but we are going to give it our best chance, ” concluded Ballard.
