The senior squad for the Australians is one step closer to finalization after the release of nominated entries earlier today. Definite entries, aka team and individual selection (NFs may enter a team of four and up to two individuals), are due on July 27.
The Aussie long list draws on a wide range of experience, from the ageless Vassily de Lassos (individual bronze and team silver with Andrew Hoy at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021) to the #2 world-ranked U25 rider Andrew Barrett, who won his CCI5* debut at Adelaide this spring with Sandhills Briar.
Several overseas-based pairs including Isabel English with CIL Dara Bombay S, Sophia Hill and Humble Glory/Tulara Baltango, Ema Klugman and Chiraz, and Kevin McNab and Faro Imp have also made the long list.
