Efe Siyahi & Cantate Conquer the GCL Individual Speed Challenge CSI 5* at Vienna

Vienna, Austria – September 24, 2026 – Efe Siyahi (TUR) and the veteran Cantate produced the winning performance at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Vienna CSI 5* & CSI 2*, taking the €80,000 GCL Individual Competition CSI 5* at the spectacular Schönbrunn Palace. The 2026 edition of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Vienna is being held September 24 -27 there. Against the historic backdrop of Vienna’s imperial residence, the Turkish rider and his 16-year-old grey Oldenburger mare delivered the fastest clear round of the day in a demanding speed challenge.

Twenty combinations came forward for the competition, but the 1.60m course proved a formidable test, with only four horse-and-rider partnerships managing to leave every fence standing. Siyahi and Cantate, a daughter of Corlensky G out of Quidam Rubin bloodlines, showed both precision and pace to stop the clock in 72.87 seconds and secure the victory without adding a single penalty.

Eduardo Pereira de Menezes (BRA) & H5 Ozzy vd Bisschop

Brazil’s Eduardo Pereira de Menezes (BRA) came the closest to challenging the winning combination, partnering H5 Ozzy vd Bisschopp to another faultless performance in 74.52 seconds.

Zascha Nygaard (DEN) & Dialoubet Blue PS

Denmark’s Zascha Nygaard (DEN) completed the podium with Dialoubet Blue PS, also jumping clear and finishing in 75.46 seconds. The narrow margins at the top underlined the quality of the small group that successfully negotiated the full 1.60m track.

For Siyahi and Cantate, the result was a standout display of experience and competitive sharpness, with the 16-year-old mare once again proving her ability to perform at the highest level. With just four clear rounds from 20 starters, their combination of a faultless performance and the quickest time proved decisive in a class where every fraction of a second mattered. Schönbrunn provided a fitting stage for a contest that rewarded both precision and speed at the highest level of international showjumping.
