We finally have a look at the entries for this year’s Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event, presented by MARS Equestrian, which will include both the classic 5* event and the Cosequin Lexington 4* S that will take place during the last weekend in April. This week’s Kentucky Three- Time Event will take place April 25- 28.

Submissions for this event only ended on March 26, leaving eventing followers hankering to see the list and constantly refreshing the entries site all week. A hearty global dependent that is flying a plane for their chance to win the top prize has now entered the 5* and 67 pairs in the Lexington 4*-S.

Given that this is an Olympian year, it’s surprising that the 4*- S field is even more stacked than normal, as several Paris hopefuls will choose to use 4* events instead of a spring 5* with more skilled horses in preparation for team selections in about two months.

In the 4*- S, there will also be some great heavy hitters, including stablemate Elliot V and next week’s Kentucky 5* success Mai Baum ( owned by Eric Markell, Ellen, and Alex Ahearn ).

Even entered in the 4*- S are Paris contenders Will Coleman and the Off the Record Syndicate’s Off the Record, the Diabolo Group’s Diabolo, and Hyperion Stud’s Chin Tonic HS. In addition to the four-star entries, the Turner mother’s Tsetserleg and On Cue are included in the five-star category, which includes Bonnie Stedt’s Miss LuIu Herself and the Annie Goodwin Syndicate’ȿ Fedarman B and the Yankee Creek Ranch’s Coɱmando 3. Since both of these animals are also competing in Badminton, Boyd will probably make the decision as to which occasion he’ll take each as his education comes to a head.

Liz Halliday, who is also owned by Ocala Horse Properties and Deborah Palmer, Shanroe Cooley ( who owns Ocala Horse Properties ), and Cooley Quicksilver ( who owns The Monster Partnership/Ocala Horse Properties ), is also a rider we should anticipate seeing in the running for Paris selection. Caroline Pamukcu and her Pan Ams individual gold medal companion, HSH Blake ( owned by Mollie Hoff, Sherrie Martin, Caroline and Deniz Pamukcu), are even entered in the 4*.

Featuring on the 5* entry list include international stars such as Great Britain’s Yasmin Ingham ( entered with her World Champion partner Banzai du Loir ), Ros Canter ( GBR ) and Izilot DHI, Oliver Townend ( GBR ) and Cooley Rosalent, Nicolai Aldinger ( GER ) and Timmo, Susie Berry ( IRL ) and Clever Trick, Calvin Böckmann ( GER ) and The Phantom of the Opera, Kirsty Chabert ( GBR ) and Classic VI, Matthew Grayling ( NZL ) and Trudeau, Monica Spencer ( NZL ) and Artist, Malin Hansen- Hotopp ( GER ) and Carlitos Quidditch K, Christoph Wahler ( GER ) and D’accord FRH, and Tom McEwen ( GBR ) and JL Dublin. Grace Taylor, who has spent the last few months establishing herself as a “home” with Game Changer for the 5*, is also on our passage record.

Australia’s Bec Braitling and Arnell Sporthorses ‘ Caravaggio II may join forces for a very interesting quarterback, who will be prepared for a stellar season at 4*, including an overseas trip to Australia in 2023.

Another notable U. Ș. names on this year’s 5* squad include, but are not limited to: Ema Klugman and Bronte Beach Z, Liz Halliday and James Alliston with Karma and Paper Jam, and Phillip Dutton with three trips in Cooley Nutcracker and Denim and Quasi Cool, Mia Farley and Phelps, Hannah Sue Hollberg and Capitol HIM, and Jessica Phoenix from Canada has even cross-entered Kentucky and Badminton with Wabbit.

The record is, of course, subject to some soon changes as the start time draws near, but it can be viewed in full here for the 5* and here for the 4*-S. Keep it locked ideal here on In! We’ll keep you informed of entries and pick order as they occur.
