Back-to-Back! Samuel Parot Powers to First Again in the $35,000 C. Jarvis Insurance Welcome CSI 3*

Lexington, Kentucky, USA – September 27, 2024 – Chile’s Samuel Parot (CHI) found himself atop the podium of the FEI Welcome once again on the Lugano Diamonds Split Rock Jumping Tour’s (SRJT) Fall series. He brought home Thursday’s feature win in the $35,000 C. Jarvis Insurance Welcome CSI3* with his own Tiffany de Olid (Huppydam des Horts x Centauer Z), saving the best for last in an exciting six-horse jump-off to top the field by less than half of a second.

Inclement weather moved the 1.45 contest indoors to the Alltech Arena of the Kentucky Horse Park where course designer Anderson Lima (BRA) built a 15-effort track complete with a double (vertical-over) and triple (oxer-vertical-vertical) combination.

Fives athletes would ultimately navigate the first round fault-free, with Delaney Flynn (USA) securing two entries to total six jump-off contenders.Flynn was the first of these, setting an impressive pace aboard Windsor Show Stables’ Namamia (Fantomas de Muse x Berlin), clocking a clear round in 35.56 seconds.

However, Chloe Reid (USA) would follow immediately after with Crossover 4 (Cascadello x Chacco-Blue), owned by Team Reid, shaving fractions off to overtake the lead with a new time-to-beat of 34.71 seconds. Several contenders would try their hand but Reid’s lead was safe until the final contender.

Last to go, Parot posed a threat as an heavily decorated SRJT competitor and he added to his collection once again as he pushed just ahead, crossing the timers in 34.22 seconds for the big win.

Parot had claimed the same class just one week prior as he rode Buga Z to the top spot of the $32,000 1.45m Welcome CSI 2* at the Kentucky National, also finishing third aboard Tiffany de Olid.

Equitation will highlight Saturday with the $25,000 Equestrian Closet 3’6″ Equitation Grand Prix and jumpers will culminate the week Sunday in the $100,000 Lugano Diamonds 1.50m Grand Prix CSI 3*. The series will return for its final week October 1-6 with the Split Rock Fall 2 CSI 3*.
