Avenches Confirmed to Host the Longines EEF Series Final in 2027

Avenches, Switzerland – March 18, 2026 –Avenches was originally awarded the Longines EEF Series Finals for three consecutive years under the agreement announced in 2025, underscoring Switzerland’s strong commitment to hosting premier international jumping events. The IENA facilities in Avenches, featuring modern arenas, extensive stabling, and spectator-friendly amenities, offer a world-class setting for top-level team jumping. The initial staging of the Final in Switzerland was a remarkable success, showcasing the venue’s ability to host international competitions while providing an engaging experience for athletes and fans alike.

“We are very happy that the EEF Board approved the new dates for the 2027 Final,” Edwin Smits, Event Director at Avenches, added. “These dates fit perfectly with the European calendar, working well for all parties involved, avoiding conflicts with other competitions and major local events, and offering ideal conditions for the sport and spectators. After the strong debut in 2025, we’re excited to welcome riders and fans back to Avenches for what promises to be another memorable Final.”

The 2026 Longines EEF Series season kicks off in May at CSIO3 Mannheim*, opening the regional qualifiers that lead up to the Finals in Avenches from 3–6 September 2026. Teams from across Europe will compete in a series of high-level events designed to develop emerging talent, strengthen national programs, and provide the experience needed for top international competition. Each qualifier and Final is a stepping stone in a season that celebrates teamwork, skill, and the next generation of European jumping talent.
