It was all smooth sailing at this afternoon’s first horse inspection at the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event, and all 29 horses in the CCI5* field have passed with flying colors. This weekend’s CCI5* Ground Jury is presided over by New Zealand’s Andrew Bennie, joined by Seppo Laine (FIN) and Valerie Pride (USA).

Not much in the way of drama today (Malibu Preacher provided some for us, but hey, that’s his MO at this point and we accept him for who he is), so we now move ahead to the start of dressage on Thursday. We’ll see the Cosequin Lexington CCI4*-S first in the morning sessions on Friday and Saturday, starting at 8:30 a.m. EST on Thursday and 8:00 a.m. EST on Friday. The CCI4* will begin at 1:30 p.m. EST on Thursday and 1:00 p.m. EST on Friday.
