Abbie Sweetnam Overcomes Favorites to Win the A&M Sporthorses Grand Prix CSI 2*

Opglabbeek, Belgium – April 25, 2026 – The Irish flew higher than the rest on Sunday at Sentower Park as Abbie Sweetnam (IRL) and Kiritan claimed top honors in the €28,200 A&M Sporthorses Grand Prix CSI 2* to conclude the second week of the Easter Tour at the renowned venue.

Going up against five other combinations in the tiebreaker, the Sweetnam stormed past the competition by leaving all the poles up and completing the decisive course in 42.24 seconds aboard the 2015 dark bay Holsteiner stallion (Kannan x For Ever Jump)

Gilles Thomas (BEL) and Riesling Van’T Roosakker raced towards reserve honors, matching the clean scorecard of the of the winners while being just over two seconds off their mark.

The host nation also earned bronze honors as Leon Brutsaert (BEL) guided Corleone Tour Vidal across the finish flawlessly in 45.18 seconds.
