A Stellar Day for Jérôme Guery at the Brussels Stephex Masters

Wolvertem, Brussels, Belgium – August 28, 2025 – The CSIO 5* action delivered plenty of excitement, with two classes earlier in the day already setting the tone. In the Two Phase Special CSIO 5* – 1.45m, presented by Grimaud French Riviera Tour, it was Belgium’s Jérôme Guery (BEL) who thrilled the home crowd by racing Great Britain V to victory in a razor-sharp time.

Guery’s form didn’t stop there. In the CSIYH Future Stars presented by Silverspoon, he guided the eight-year-old Remus de Mariposa to another win. And to crown an already successful day, he came within a whisker of triumph in the biggest class on the schedule, the €30,450 Qualifier CSIO 5* – 1.50m, presented by Equihome, finishing second with Careca LS Elite behind the untouchable Ben Maher.

Jérôme Guery (BEL) & Great Britain V

Guery: “This performance won’t be easy to top. It was my first day here and I already felt my horses were in good shape, but to start with two wins and a second place in such a beautiful qualifier under the lights was beyond anything I expected. It’s always a challenge, such an impressive arena and such an incredible atmosphere. I’m really happy with how things are going here in Brussels. I hope I can keep this level and add more good results. As for Sunday’s Rolex Grand Prix, presented by Audi, I don’t think my horse is quite ready to fight for the podium just yet, but a place in the top 12, that’s definitely my goal.
