One more day of dressage here at sunny Aachen… and then we’re heading out on course! Sally managed to sit down with World Championship course designer Giuseppe della Chiesa yesterday for an incredibly thorough breakdown of his twisty-turny-loopy-swoopy course — so, you know, another grand ‘ole Aachen track for ya.

Just a quick reminder of where we’re at today as we spend another day in the ring:
- Despite a spooky moment at the flowers entering the ring and a lapse on the final centreline flying change, Tom McEwen and JL Dublin have the current individual lead on 26.6, which helped put Great Britain in equal gold medal position overnight with…
- New Zealand, whose team score is also 55.9 thanks to Jonelle Price and Senor Crocodillo laying down a 27.2 to hold second place — the gelding’s lowest-ever dressage score at any FEI level.
- Our hosts on Team Germany sit in third overnight — but with our two most recent Olympic champions still yet to take to the field today.
