Lisbon, Portugal – May 22, 2026 – The BPI Wealth Management Trophy CSIO 3* brought the second day of the Al Shira’aa CSIO 3* Lisbon to a golden close with a spectacular victory by Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR). The Portuguese rider claimed the win aboard Comme Le Coeur with breathtaking speed in the decisive winning round.
It was the second consecutive victory for Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida and Comme le Coeur at the Al Shira’aa Lisbon CSIO 3*, this time delivering an impressive winning round against top-level competition. Riders such as Michael Pender (IRL), Jean-Maurice Brahier (FRA), Pedro Veniss (BRA), and Jesús Garmendia Echevarria (ESP), all gave their best performances, producing an extremely competitive contest and outstanding rounds.

The tiny time differences between their performances speak volumes about the excitement and equality of the class. Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) and Comme Le Coeur finished first in 39.58 seconds; Michael Pender (IRL) and Thomascourt Victor were second in 39.70; Jean-Maurice Brahier (SUI) and Caracoles placed third in 40.08; Pedro Veniss and “Duelante 3K” finished fourth in 40.34; and Jesús Garmendia with “Callias” took fifth place in 40.66 seconds.
The successive rounds of these riders — the top five among the fifteen combinations competing in the winning round — were experienced with great excitement by the Lisbon crowd, who thrilled to the spectacular performance and efficiency of their favorite rider, Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida.
