Harry Charles Nips Fellow Countryman to Win the €200,000 Grand Prix of Doha CSI 4*

Doha, Qatar – January 04, 2026 – The H.H. The Father Amir’s Prix 2026 concluded on Sunday at Al Shaqab as Tour I wraps up its opening weekend and it was Harry Charles (GBR) and Casquo Blue who conquered the €200,000 Grand Prix of Doha CSI 4*, nipping fellow compatriots Scott Brash (GBR) and Hello Folie.

Thirty-three combinations entered the Longines Arena for the first round of the 1.55m challenge but only six advanced to the tiebreaker. In the end, it was the Charles and the 2010 bay Oldenburg gelding (Chacco-Blue x Carthago Z) who prevailed, doing so impecably in 38.20 seconds.

Scott Brash (GBR) and Hello Folie were nipped at the wire, finishing second less than three-tenths of a second behind (38.48 seconds).

Janakabhorn Karunayadhaj (THA) & Maxwin Kinmar Bespoke

A pleasant surprise, Janakabhorn Karunayadhaj (THA) and Maxwin Kinmar Bespoke jumped their way towards a podium finish, rounding out the top three in 40.14 seconds.

Running from 2–4 January, Tour 1 offered a total prize fund of €538,000. Delivering a full programme of CSI 1*, CSI 2* and CSI 4* competition as part of the Doha Equestrian Tour (DET) 2026. The full four-tour H.H. The Father Amir’s Prix series, prize money totals €3,303,000, bringing international and regional riders together at one of Qatar’s leading equestrian venues.

The final day featured CSI 1* and CSI 2 *Grand Prix classes, culminating in the CSI 4 *155 cm Grand Prix Jump-Off as the tour’s feature competition.
