Your chance to volunteer for the next Olympics is here! Like our sport, the Olympics also relies on the assistance of thousands of volunteers each cycle, and for the Los Angeles 2028 Games, the organizing crew have teamed up with Delta Airlines to offer a robust volunteer program. Participants will not only be involved with the Games themselves, but also with a multitude of projects aimed at bettering the greater Los Angeles area as a whole. You can learn more about volunteering at the Olympics and register your interest here. If you’re more interested at taking your chances on tickets, you can sign up for the latest updates on those here. Tickets won’t be on sale until 2027, but registration is already taking place to be in line when sales do open. Click here for more information.

The USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) are heading back to Kentucky next year, and bids are officially open for official photography and videography roles. More on the forthcoming prospective blood rule changes that could be coming from the FEI: the chatter surrounding the rule change, which would effectively lower the penalty for some instances of blood, have raised the ire of welfare critics all over the world. We reported on this via Germany yesterday, and now you can read more information on the rule and a petition circulating to defeat it here.
Don’t forget to tune in! The MadBarn Indoor Eventing Challenge kicks off tonight at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto. The eventing competition at the Royal always attracts a great crowd, and this year we’ll see special guest riders such as Harry Meade (who also stopped by The Go Eventing Podcast this week — listen here!) tackle the challenge. You’ll be able to tune in live, or you can also buy tickets to see the action in person. You can learn more here.
